Kotravai is an actress and writer who mostly works in Tamil films. She rose to prominence for her performance as Helen in the Bachelor movie starring GV Prakash in the lead role. Kotravai is also a blogger who writes short stories on her self-titled blog. Her story Death’s Lips became a huge hit. She worked as the assistant director in the serial Thoduvanam serial.

Kotravai, a writer-translator based in Chennai is known for her alternate thoughts about the Social Issues and its root cause. She has written over 50 articles in Tamil disseminating knowledge on the inequality and injustice system that prevails across the world in Marxist Focus. She believes in questioning everything what has been told over thousands of years and firmly affirms that Marxism gave her the enlightenment to view the problems of the human kind. She has translated four books in Tamil, 2 books that analyze Resolution for Caste Question and 1 book on Rosa Luxemburg a communist Revolutionary and the other one is Uzhaikum Magalir, a manifesto for the emancipation of Women written by Krupskaya, life partner of Lenin.
